Rule 1-16-3.1 - Intent and PurposeA. These rules are promulgated pursuant to the authority granted the Mississippi Secretary of State under Miss. Code Ann. Section 23-15-7.B. It is the intent of the Mississippi Secretary of State to provide for the time, place, and manner in which each Registrar's Office shall issue the Mississippi Voter Identification Card to eligible electors, to provide for the acceptable types of documentation or information necessary for an eligible elector to obtain the Mississippi Voter Identification Card, and to provide certain other rules governing the Mississippi Voter Photo Identification law.Miss.
