Part 2110.0140 - REPEALED
Subpart 1.Full instructors.

In addition to the requirements of part 2105.0140, the applicant shall pay the fees identified in Minnesota Statutes, section 155A.25, and shall successfully complete a practical examination demonstrating teaching skills and techniques as related to the instruction of cosmetology practices and provide documentation of:

A. successful graduation from a licensed school of cosmetology;
B. successful completion of at least 38 hours of training in a program or programs approved by the board and which will provide the knowledge and skills necessary to instruct in the field of cosmetology;
C. a current cosmetologist, nail technician, or esthetician license; and
D. at least 1,400 hours of experience as a licensed cosmetologist, nail technician, or esthetician in a licensed salon, supervised by a licensed manager, within the three years prior to this application.
Subp. 2.Nail technician and esthetician instructors.

Individuals whose practitioner license is as nail technician or esthetician shall be restricted to instruction in the area of their practitioner license only.
