Part 7410.4200 - EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS GENERALLY; CONTENTSSubpart 1.Authorized examiners.Each applicant for a Minnesota driver's license must be examined by the commissioner according to Minnesota Statutes, section 171.13.
Subp. 2.Examining applicants for every driver's license.The driver examination must test or demonstrate the applicant's:
B. ability to read and understand highway signs regulating, warning, and directing traffic;C. knowledge of Minnesota traffic laws;D. knowledge of the effects of alcohol and drugs on a driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and legally, and the legal penalties and financial consequences resulting from violations of laws prohibiting the operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs;E. knowledge of railroad grade-crossing safety;F. knowledge of slow-moving vehicle safety;G. knowledge of traffic laws related to bicycles;H. ability to exercise ordinary and reasonable control in operating a motor vehicle; andI. safe driving practices.Minn.
