Part 1550.1340 - SATISFACTORY COMPLIANCE FOR STORAGE OF NONPERISHABLE PRODUCTS AND SUPPLIES Dry storage facilities shall be considered adequate when the following conditions are met:
A. supplies and products are stored in a sanitary manner to prevent spoilage and bacterial growth and are protected from contamination and adulteration;B. dry storage rooms are clean, dry, well-ventilated, and free of objectionable odors and vapors;C. supplies and products are covered or kept intact in their original containers;D. supplies and products are stored not less than 18 inches from the walls and ceiling; an aisle measuring not less than 18 inches separates any stack which measures six skids on a side;E. supplies and products are protected against damage from unfavorable temperatures and humidity;F. supplies and products are stored at least six inches off of the floor; andG. supplies and products are rotated and are arranged in an orderly manner to make easy their inspection, cleaning, and use.Minn.
