Section R. 432.726 - DenialsRule 726.
(1) If the board denies an application for a license, it shall direct the executive director to issue a notice of denial.(2) An applicant, including an individual applying for an occupational license, who is served with a notice of denial under these rules may request a contested case hearing as set forth in these rules.(3) The notice of denial is a finding that the person is ineligible or unsuitable for licensure or is otherwise in violation of the licensing requirements of the act or these rules. When the board denies an application for a license, the person is prohibited from conducting business that would otherwise require licensure.(4) A person whose application for a license has been denied may not reapply for a period of 1 year from the date on which the board voted to deny the application unless otherwise approved by the board.(5) A person whose application for a license was denied may seek leave of the board to reapply within the 1-year period by addressing the request to the board. The board may require the person to present oral or written argument outlining why an exception should be made.Mich. Admin. Code R. 432.726
