Section R. 431.2030 - Machine lockingRule 2030.
(1) The pari-mutuel machines shall be locked by a steward immediately upon the start of the race through an electrical control in the stewards' stand or before the start of a race through a method subject to the approval of the executive director.(2) If the start of the race is delayed beyond the official post time, as shown on the results board, without adequate reason or explanation, the stewards may, at their discretion, lock the pari-mutuel machines.(3) An association is not responsible for ticket sales which are not completed before the machines are locked.Mich.
