Section R. 431.1210 - Protests, objections, or complaints; timeRule 1210.
(1) Protests, objections, or complaints based on the following rule violations shall be lodged by persons aggrieved within the times prescribed: (a) At least 1 hour before post time if the protest is based on incorrect weight allowance claimed for a horse entered to race.(b) Before the race has been posted as official if the objection is based on interference by a horse, improper course covered by a horse, foul riding or driving, or any other matter occurring during or incidental to the running of a race.(c) Not later than 48 hours after the race was run if the complaint is based on fraudulent or willful misstatement in entry under which a horse has run or any other rule violation.(2) Licensees who make unreasonable, unwarranted, or frivolous complaints, objections, or protests may be subject to disciplinary action including a fine in an amount offsetting expenses incurred in determining the complaint, objection, or protest.Mich.
