Section R. 28.1822 - Rule 822. Drivers to park within metered parking spaces; violation as civil infraction(1) Every vehicle shall be parked wholly within the metered parking space for which the meter shows a parking privilege has been granted, except that a vehicle that is too large to be parked within a single designated parking meter zone shall be permitted to occupy 2 adjoining parking meter spaces if coins are deposited in the parking meter for each space occupied, as required in this code for the parking of other vehicles in that space.(2) A person who violates this rule is responsible for a civil infraction.Mich.
