Section R. 28.1703 - Rule 703. Passing vehicle stopped at intersection to permit pedestrian to cross prohibited; violation as civil infraction(1) When any vehicle is stopped at a marked crosswalk or at any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection to permit a pedestrian to cross the roadway, the driver of any other vehicle approaching from the rear shall not overtake and pass the stopped vehicle.(2) A person who violates this rule is responsible for a civil infraction.Mich.
