Section R. 484.801 - ApplicabilityRule 1.
(1) These rules apply to a primary public safety answering point (psap) as defined by the emergency 9-1-1 service enabling act, 1986 PA 32, MCL 484.1101 to 484.1717.(2) All new and existing telecommunicators of a Michigan primary psap shall comply with the provisions of these rules no later than 1 year from the effective date of these rules.(3) All Michigan primary psaps and the emergency 9-1-1 service committee shall comply with the provisions of these rules no later than 1 year from the effective date of these rules.(4) The emergency 9-1-1 service committee, as defined in section 102(e) of the act, may implement procedures as needed to carry out these rules.Mich.
