(1) A car frame and platform shall be of metal. Frame members shall be securely bolted and braced. The factor of safety shall not be less than 4 with a uniformly distributed rated load.(2) The car shall be enclosed to the extent necessary to afford reasonable protection.(3) The platform area shall not exceed 5 square feet.(4) The rated capacity shall be not less than 300 pounds.(5) The limit of travel for the elevator shall be not more than 50 feet.Mich.
