Section R. 408.7037a - Illumination of cars and lighting fixturesRule 37a. Section 2.14.7.1.4 of ASME A17.1 is amended to read as follows:
2.14.7.1.4 Each elevator must be provided with at least 2 electric light fixtures and a ground fault circuit interrupter duplex receptable on the car top. The 2 light fixtures combined must provide an illumination level of not less than 10 fc at any point on the car top. The light fixtures must be permanent and be of the fixed or portable type and be equipped with guards.Mich. Admin. Code R. 408.7037a
