Section R. 408.7016 - Special elevating devicesRule 16.
(1) Special elevating devices within the scope of the act shall meet the requirements established by the department and the rules promulgated by the board.(2) The devices specified in subrule (1) of this rule shall receive special consideration from the department as to the safety features incorporated into them before they may be approved for installation. A permit to install a special elevating device shall be obtained from the department in accordance with section 15 of the act.(3) Stagelifts are special elevating devices and shall meet the requirements of this rule.Mich.
