Section R. 408.30427 - [Effective 4/9/2025] Barrier free design for buildings, structures, and improved areasRule 427. Section 1102.1 of the code is amended and section 1103.2.15 is added to the code to read as follows:
1102.1. Design. Buildings and facilities shall be designed and constructed to be accessible in accordance with 1966 PA 1, MCL 125.1351 to 125.1356, the code, and ICC/ANSI A 117.1, except sections 611 and 707.1103.2.15. Military, fire service, and police facilities. Housing, bathing, toilet, training, and storage areas intended for use and occupancy exclusively by military, fire service, police, or security personnel required to be physically agile are not required to be accessible.Mich.
