Section R. 408.31113 - Applicability of local lawsRule 1113.
(1) Except as provided by or pursuant to the act and these rules, land use zone requirements, performance-based fire zone requirements, building setback requirements, side and rear yard requirements, property line requirements, and on-site development, construction, and inspection are specifically and entirely reserved to the governmental subdivision.(2) In areas of the state where special environmental conditions exist which require special or different building standards, pursuant to R 408.31121, governmental subdivisions shall prescribe such standards for those parts of the site development, foundation, and other work, for which responsibility is vested in the governmental subdivision pursuant to subrule (1).Mich.
