(1) A lobby or waiting area for visitors must be functionally separate from patient care units.(2) Except as provided in subrule (3) of this rule, a health facility shall provide one or more public toilet rooms, equipped with a lavatory and water closet, located near waiting and reception areas.(3) Facilities with a licensed bed capacity of 8 or less may share staff and public toilet facilities.(4) In new construction or renovations, a source of public drinking water must be provided.Mich.
