Section R. 325.45141 - Infection control education and training

Rule 141.

(1) The licensee shall maintain an ongoing program of education and training on methods to prevent or reduce the transmission of infectious agents for all personnel upon hire and at ongoing intervals as applicable, including employees, onsite contract workers, medical providers, students, medical residents, and volunteers.
(2) The licensee shall document compliance with initial and ongoing training for personnel in methods of infection prevention and control.
(3) The licensee shall make available information to patients and visitors on methods to prevent or reduce the transmission of infectious agents within the health facility or agency.
