(1) Hospice aide services must be available directly, or by written agreement, and must be under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.(2) The hospice shall have policies and procedures for hospice aide services, approved by the director of nursing, to maintain standards of care.(3) A registered professional nurse shall make an annual onsite visit to a location where a patient is receiving care to observe and assess each aide while he or she is performing care.
