Section R. 418.88 - Case development docket

Rule 8.

(1) All cases are assigned to a magistrate on initial pre-trial date. Unless it is a 60-day case, the magistrate shall place the case on the case development docket and schedule an initial control date. 60-day cases, as provided in section 205 of the act, MCL 418.205, must be placed on the trial docket, and scheduled for a JFPTC and trial date in accordance with R 418.93.

The petitioner in a 60-day case may waive that status and the case shall then be placed on the case development docket.

(2) Cases that are on the case development docket are assigned control dates at the discretion of the magistrate at such intervals and frequency as deemed appropriate. Appearance of the parties must comply with R 418.85.
