Section R. 408.10937 - Inspection of standpipe and hose system; water level; valve; water supplyRule 937.
(1) An inspection of all portions of a standpipe and hose system shall be made not less than once a year by a trained and authorized employee or an outside service.(2) A water tank shall be maintained at the water level designed for fire protection purposes and where a pressure tank is used, the air pressure shall be maintained at the designed pressure level, but not less than 75 psi.(3) The valve to the main connection of the source of water to a standpipe shall be kept open at all times.(4) The water supply for standpipe and hose systems shall provide a minimum of 100 gallons per minute for not less than 30 minutes.Mich.
