Section R. 408.17128 - Steam pressure procedures

Rule 7128.

(1) Steam valves to machinery shall be cracked open for several minutes and then opened slowly to avoid uneven expansion of a pressure chamber.

(2) The rated operating steam pressure of a machine shall not be exceeded.
