Section R. 408.12471 - Dies; employer duties generallyRule 2471. An employer shall do all of the following:
(a) Use dies and operating methods designed to control or eliminate hazards to operating personnel.(b) Furnish, and enforce the use of, a hand tool for freeing and removing stuck work or scrap pieces from the die so that an employee need not reach into the point of operation for such purposes.(c) Guard feed points, shuttle mechanisms, or other pinch points in accordance with General Industry Safety Standard Part 1 "General Provisions," as referenced in R 408.12402.Mich.
