Section R. 408.11936 - Operating near power lineRule 1936.
(1) Any overhead wire shall be considered an energized line until a representative of the owner or utility has checked and indicated otherwise.(2) Before any crane operation is started near a power line the owner or utility representative shall be notified.(3) Except where electrical power lines and equipment have been deenergized and visibly grounded at the point of work or where an insulating barrier, not a part of the crane, has been erected, or the employee is insulated or isolated from the crane, a crane shall maintain clearances in accordance to the following: Voltage | Clearance Boom Raised | Clearance in transit withBoom Lowered and No.Load |
