Section R. 408.11299 - Carbide storage outsideRule 1299.
(1) Only unopened metal containers of carbide shall be stored outside.(2) The container of carbide stored outside shall be inspected monthly for water and air tightness and rusting.(3) The bottom tier of each row of carbide containers shall be placed on wooden planking or equivalent so that the container will not make contact with the ground or ground water.(4) Containers of carbide shall be used on a first in, first out basis.Mich.
