(1) "Block" means a masonry unit having 1 dimension exceeding 15 inches, and 1 of its other 2 dimensions exceeding 7 inches.(2) "Brick" means a masonry unit which is not a block.(3) "Chain" means a series of metal links connected to, or fitted into, one another.(4) "Lay" means the lengthwise distance required by a single strand to make 1 complete spiral around the rope.(5) "Rigging equipment" means chain, wire rope, fiber rope, synthetic rope, sling, and their accessories and includes hoisting lines.(6) "Rope" means a strand or series of strands of fiber, synthetic or wire braided, woven or twisted together.Mich.
