Section R. 408.22307 - Definitions; D,ERule 1307.
(1) "Department" means the Michigan department of consumer and industry services or the Michigan department of public health.(2) "Director" means the director of the Michigan department of consumer and industry services or the director of the Michigan department of public health.(3) "Employee" means a person permitted to work by an employer.(4) "Employer" means an individual or organization, including the state or a political subdivision, which employs 1 or more persons.(5) "Establishment" means a single physical location where business is conducted or where services or operations are performed; for example, a factory, mill, store, hotel, restaurant, movie theater, farm, ranch, bank, sales office, warehouse, central administrative office, a single school within a school district, a city garage within the department of public works, a branch office of the department of state, or a police station within the police department of a city. Where distinctly separate activities are performed at a single physical location, such as contract construction activities operated from the same physical location as a lumberyard, each activity shall be treated as a separate establishment.Mich.
