Section R. 325.137 - Trauma patient inter-facility transfer protocolsRule 13.
(1) All designated trauma centers shall maintain inter-facility transfer protocols for trauma patients that are consistent with regional and local medical control protocol and that are compliant with the emergency medical treatment and labor act, 42 USC 1395dd.(2) All level III and level IV designated hospitals will develop and implement formal policies based on published guidelines for the transfer of trauma patients who need care at level I or level II trauma facilities.(3) Trauma patients will be transported to a hospital that is designated as a trauma facility.Mich.
