Section R. 325.22187 - Rotary ambulance; requirementsRule 187. A rotary ambulance must meet all the following standards:
(a) Be capable of on-scene response and transportation of emergency patients.(b) Be staffed in accordance with section 20921(3), (4), and (5) of the code, MCL 333.20921.(c) Allow for patient access and treatment to the patient by the rotary ambulance personnel.(d) Possess access that allows for safe loading and unloading of a patient without excessive maneuvering of the patient.(e) Be temperature controlled for the comfort of the patient.(f) Have adequate lighting for patient care and observation.(g) Be equipped with communication capability with hospitals, life support vehicles, and medical control in accordance with the medcom requirements.(h) Be capable of carrying a minimum of 1 patient in a horizontal position.(i) Securely store equipment and make the equipment readily accessible.(j) Operate under the medical control authority.Mich.
