Section R. 400.10409 - Water supplyRule 409.
(1) The water supply for a facility shall comply with the requirements of the department of public health. The installation of new wells or repairs on existing wells shall be done by a water drilling contractor who is registered under sections 12701 to 12721 of Act No. 368 of the Public Acts of 1978, as amended, being SS333.12701 to 333.12721 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.(2) Each sink, lavatory, bath, shower, drinking fountain, and other water outlet shall be supplied with safe and potable water which is sufficient in quantity and pressure to meet the conditions of peak demand. Hot and cold or tempered water shall be provided in each sink, lavatory, bath, and shower. Hot water temperatures shall not be more than 120 degrees Fahrenheit at outlets accessible to residents.
(3) Plumbing shall be installed and maintained to prevent cross-connections with the water supply.Mich. Admin. Code R. 400.10409
