Section R. 325.99210 - Clearance technician training course requirementsRule 210. A training program accredited under section 5462 of the act shall provide a training course that meets all of the following requirements become accredited for the discipline of clearance technician:
(a) The training course shall last a minimum of 8 training hours with a minimum of 2 hours devoted to hands-on training activities.(b) The training course shall include, at a minimum, all of the following course topics:(i) The role, responsibilities, and limitations of a clearance technician.(ii) Background information on federal, state, and local regulations and guidance that pertains to non-abatement lead hazard control activities.(iv) The following topics which have hands-on activities as an integral part of the course: (A) Documented lead-based paint clearance sampling methodologies, including visual assessment, and selection of locations and components for sampling.(B) Clearance standards and testing.(C) Interpretation of sample results and retesting procedures.(D) Preparation of the clearance report.Mich.
