Section R. 299.2521 - Authority of supervisor of mineral wellsRule 2521. The supervisor of mineral wells, under section 62508 of the act, may do any of the following:
(a) Enforce all rules, issue orders, determinations, and instructions necessary to enforce the rules and regulations, and do whatever may be necessary with respect to the subject matter stated in these rules to carry out the purposes of these rules and the act, whether or not the orders, determinations, or instructions are indicated, specified, or enumerated in the act or rules.(b) Order the suspension of any or all components of the operation when a violation exists. The suspension time shall continue until a correction is made and a violation no longer exists as provided by section 62507 of the act. The supervisor of mineral wells may also prohibit a person from taking brine from the well during the required suspension time.(c) Order a well plugged for a continuing violation of the act or these rules.Mich.
