Section R. 299.4712 - Municipalities; filing for a separate planning grantRule 712. A municipality that files for a separate planning grant under section 11547 of the act shall follow the same procedures and rules as a county in the preparation of a solid waste management plan, with the following exceptions:
(a) A municipality shall utilize, consult with, and receive advice from, the planning committee appointed by the county.(b) A municipality shall consult and coordinate activities with the county designated planning agency.(c) The county planning committee shall approve or disapprove the work program. If disapproved, the planning committee shall return the work program to the municipality with objections. The municipality shall, within 30 days, resubmit the work program with the necessary revisions.(d) A municipality shall submit progress reports to the planning committee not less than quarterly.Mich.
