Rule 57.
A person is exempt from this part to the extent that he or she receives, possesses, uses, or transfers uranium used as shielding constituting part of any shipping container which is conspicuously and legibly impressed with the legend "CAUTION - RADIOACTIVE SHIELDING - URANIUM" and which meets the specifications for containers for radioactive materials prescribed by section 178.250, specification 55, part 178, of the regulations published by the United States department of transportation, 49 CFR 178.250.
