Section R. 390.1103 - Successful teachingRule 3. The determination of successful teaching specified in this code is according to all of the following:
(a) Successful experience must be with 1 or more employers in a teaching capacity within the validity of a teaching certificate.(b) A year of employment is a minimum of 150 instructional days and may be either an academic or a calendar year, but an individual shall not earn more than 1 year of employment during an academic or a calendar year. An individual may accumulate a year of employment over a period of years.(c) An instructional day is 6 or more hours during which teachers provide instruction to or have contact with students. A combination of 2 partial instructional days of not less than 3 hours equals 1 day.Mich. Admin. Code R. 390.1103
