(1) Brand names and terms taken from trademarks may be associated with the kind and variety or mixtures of kinds or varieties or blends of varieties of seed as an indication of source; however, the names and terms shall be clearly indicated as being other than part of the name of the kind and variety, mixture, or blend. Brand names shall not be used in place of variety names or in any manner in which they may be interpreted as being a variety name.(2) The brand name may incorporate the name of the variety in the complete brand name or be shown separately on the label. When the variety name is shown as being separate from the brand name, the variety name shall be adequately identified by using the term "Variety" preceding or following the variety designation.Mich.
