Section 26.21.01.30 - Certification of Inspectors

A. The Department shall employ qualified inspectors and other personnel to enforce the Act, these regulations, and permit conditions.

B. Criteria for qualifying as an inspector shall include the following:

(1) A college degree in mining engineering, civil engineering, geology, hydrology, agronomy, forestry, biology, or any of the physical or earth sciences; or

(2) A working knowledge of erosion and sediment control technology, health, safety, earth moving, or any other field pertinent to surface mining activities.
