Section 14.09.10.01 - Lump Sum PaymentA. A claimant seeking a lump sum payment shall file an application with the Commission that: (1) States specifically the facts and circumstances that the claimant contends justify the lump sum payment; and(2) Is accompanied by any documents upon which the claimant relies in support of the application.B. The party who may be required to make the lump sum payment shall file with the Commission a statement showing the outstanding balance of payments due the claimant and indicating whether that party objects to the granting of the application.C. A hearing on the application shall be scheduled if: (1) The employer, insurer or other payor does not consent to the lump sum, or(2) The Commission, upon review of the application, determines a hearing is warranted.Md.
