Section 13B.08.18.14 - Cancellation of Obligations upon Death, and Waiver or Temporary Suspension of Employment ObligationA. Any employment or payment obligation incurred by a recipient is canceled upon the recipient's death, upon provision to OSFA of a death certificate, or other evidence of death that is conclusive under State law.B. OSFA may waive or temporarily suspend a recipient's employment obligation:(1) If, in the determination of the Director of OSFA, compliance by the recipient with the terms and conditions of the employment obligation agreement is impossible or would involve extreme hardship;(2) Due to an extended illness of the recipient verified by a physician; or(3) Due to extenuating family circumstances as determined by the Director of OSFA.C. OSFA may suspend a recipient's employment obligation:(1) For up to 3 years, if the recipient or recipient's spouse is assigned military duty outside of the State; or(2) For up to 6 months, if the recipient is on parental leave.Md.
