Section 10.57.05.05 - Physical ContactThe certified residential child care program administrator or certified residential child and youth care practitioner engaging in physical contact with a client as an accepted component of a professionally recognized, nontraditional treatment modality shall have documented in the client's record by a licensed or certified health care professional:
A. An assessment of the client;B. A written rationale for the use of the treatment modality for the client; andC. A copy of the informed consent, signed and dated by the client and the licensed or certified health care professional, which addresses:(1) The risks and benefits of the treatment modality;(2) The objective or objectives and intended outcome or outcomes of the proposed treatment;(3) Available alternative interventions; and(4) A description of the physical contact which may be reasonably anticipated by the client in the course of the proposed treatment.Md.
