Section 10.53.06.08 - Violations

The Board may remove approval from an electrology program if the program:

A. Is guilty of fraud or deceit in obtaining or attempting to obtain approval;
B. Acts in a manner inconsistent with generally accepted standards for the practice of electrology;
C. Advertises in a manner that the Board determines violates Health Occupations Article, § 8-6 B-23, Annotated Code of Maryland;
D. Violates the standards set under Health Occupations Article, § 8-6 B-23, Annotated Code of Maryland, if the program:
(1) Receives a notice of deficiency; and
(2) Fails to correct a deficiency within a time period set by the notice of deficiency; or
E. No longer operates a program that qualifies for approval under Health Occupations Article, § 8-6 B-16, Annotated Code of Maryland.
