Section 10.42.01.16 - Reinstatement After Failure to RenewA. The Board shall reinstate the license of an individual who has failed to renew a license which expired for any reason if the individual: (1) Otherwise is entitled to be licensed;(2) Complies with the continuing education requirements established by the Board for this purpose;(3) Submits the application for reinstatement;(4) Submits the continuing education report form with copies of the required continued education documentation as set forth in COMAR 10.42.06;(5) Pays to the Board a reinstatement processing fee in COMAR 10.42.05; and(6) Applies to the Board within 5 years of the date the license expired.B. Failure to Reinstate Within 5 Years. (1) The Board may not reinstate the license of a social worker who fails to apply for reinstatement within 5 years after the license expired.(2) The Board may issue a license after 5 years if the individual: (a) Is otherwise entitled to be licensed;(b) Submits the required application;(c) Pays all applicable fees set forth in COMAR 10.42.05;(d) Submits an official transcript indicating the date the degree was awarded or conferred;(e) Submits three general professional references; and(f) Passes the respective examination required for initial licensure.Md.
