Section 10.40.01.05 - Post-Graduate Clinical Training

A. Except as otherwise provided in this regulation, an applicant who submits an application for a license after January 1, 1990 shall demonstrate satisfactory completion of 2 years in a postgraduate medical education program in podiatric medicine and surgery approved by the Council on Education of the American Podiatric Medical Association, or its successor, and approved by the Board, in order to be eligible for the examination.

B. This regulation does not apply to applicants who apply for a limited license.

C. The Board may waive the requirement of this regulation at the request of an applicant who has practiced podiatry actively in another state for at least 5 years immediately before applying for a license in Maryland.
