Unless otherwise authorized by Health Occupations Article, §12-102, Annotated Code of Maryland, the dispensing of prescription drugs by a physician without a permit is a violation of Health Occupations Article, §14-404(a)(28), Annotated Code of Maryland, and also may be considered unprofessional conduct in the practice of medicine in violation of Health Occupations Article, §14-404(a)(3)(H), Annotated Code of Maryland.
