Section 10.21.14.12 - External Legal Action

A. This chapter does not modify the resident's:

(1) Legal rights;

(2) Access to seek private legal counsel from attorneys not receiving funding for legal assistance from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; or

(3) Access to a court.

B. The Resident Grievance System is not governed by the contested case provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act, State Government Article, Title 10, Annotated Code of Maryland.
