Section 10.06.05.04 - Notification of Required Meningococcal VaccinationAn institution of higher education shall:
A. Inform an individual or the parent or guardian of an individual younger than 18 years old of the requirement for meningococcal vaccination at the time the individual: (1) Is accepted for admission to an institution of higher education; or(2) Registers for classes, if the individual is not required to apply for admission before registering for courses;B. Include notice of the requirement for meningococcal vaccination in: (1) Admission acceptance information;(2) Student health-related information and materials;(3) Resident life information and materials;(4) The student handbook; and(5) The college catalog; andC. Provide detailed information to an individual who resides or may reside in on-campus student housing or the parent or guardian of an individual younger than 18 years old who resides or may reside in on-campus student housing concerning: (1) The risks associated with meningococcal disease; and(2) The availability and effectiveness of meningococcal vaccine.Md.
