Section 09.32.08.02 - DefinitionsA. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.B. Terms Defined. (1) "Claimant" means an individual who submits a claim for unemployment insurance benefits.(2) "Department" means the Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation.(3) "Employer" means a person or governmental entity who employs at least one individual within the State and who is an interested party in the determination of the claimant's claim.(4) "Unemployment insurance office" means: (a) Any local office that processes claims for unemployment insurance benefits; or(b) The central office of the Office of Unemployment Insurance of the Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation.Md.
