Section 09.22.04.05 - Course ContentA. The Board may approve continuing education courses that include, but are not limited to, the following topics:(2) Communicable and infectious disease control;(3) The practice of cosmetology, esthetics, and nail techniques;(4) Ethics and standards of professional practice;(5) Occupational health and safety;(8) State of Maryland laws and regulations.B. The subject matter of the course shall meet the following requirements: (1) Address the protection of health and safety of the general public;(2) Enable the licensee to serve the objectives of the consumer in a cosmetology transaction; or(3) Enable the licensee to develop competency and professionalism in a changing marketplace.C. The course shall meet the following criteria:(1) Cover the topic area cited in the applications;(2) Have an outline detailing the sequence of topics and the amount of time allotted to each topic;(3) Content may not be materially changed without prior written approval of the Board; and(4) Consist of at least 1 clock hour.Md.
