Section 09.14.02.06-2 - Judges
A. Except as otherwise provided in this regulation, an applicant for an original license to act as a judge in a boxing, kickboxing, or mixed martial arts contest shall:
(1) Be at least 18 years old;
(2) Complete a course of training, approved by the Commission, which encompasses the elements of officiating in the sport in which the applicant seeks to officiate; and
(3) Receive certification by the Association of Boxing Commissions (ABC), the World Boxing Council (WBC), the World Boxing Association (WBA), the World Boxing Organization (WBO), or the International Boxing Federation (IBF).
B. The Commission may require an applicant for license renewal to be recertified under the requirements of §A of this regulation.
C. The Commission may waive the requirements of §A of this regulation for a nonresident applicant in a boxing, kickboxing, or mixed martial arts contest if the applicant submits a certification from another regulatory agency verifying that the applicant is qualified to act as a judge in the sport in which the applicant seeks to officiate.
