Section 08.02.25.08 - Commercial - Haul Seines

A. An individual may use a haul seine in accordance with Natural Resources Article, § 4-713, Annotated Code of Maryland, during the period from 12:01 a.m. Saturday until sunrise on Monday only if the individual notifies the Department in accordance with §B of this regulation at least 24 hours in advance of the activity.

B. Prior to using a haul seine during the period from 12:01 a.m. Saturday until sunrise on Monday an individual shall:

(1) Call the Natural Resources Communication Center a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the activity; and

(2) Provide the following information to the operator:

(a) Name of the commercial licensee;

(b) Commercial license number;

(c) Name of the vessel;

(d) Date the activity will occur; and

(e) Location of the activity, including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration fishing area code.
