Subsection 351-5-1-01 - APPLICATION1. This chapter is promulgated pursuant to 39A M.R.S.A. §§208 and 209-A . It applies to all medical, surgical and hospital services, nursing, medicines, and mechanical, surgical aids provided for treatment of a claimed work-related injury or disease on or after the effective date of this chapter, regardless of the employee's date of injury or illness. Treatment does not include expenses related to managed care services such as utilization review, case management, and bill review or to examinations performed pursuant to 39A M.R.S.A. §§207 and 312.
